There is something a little sad about a vintage tea set, gleaming in a charity shop window. Deemed too precious or fragile for use by its owner, yet unwanted when they are gone. A Wedding or Engagement present? What is its story? I may not find answers for all the tea sets that come my way, but where possible I hope to tell their story and, in so doing, the history and lives of those who purchased them and those who had the pleasure to own them. This blog is, in short, a window to the lives of those from our past told through the eyes of pretty, delicate, vintage English tea sets.

Part-time lawyer, mum to one gorgeous little girl, potential future Tour de France winner and a collector of vintage tea sets. It is my love of cakes, tea and nostalgia that has led me to write this blog.
